Philips, in collaboration with Malaysian distributor Unity Momentum Sdn Bhd, has officially unveiled its latest home appliance lineup: the Philips Air Series Ab1 air conditioner range. Designed specifically for Malaysian homes, the new series promises to merge rapid cooling performance with digital convenience through a Malaysia-first innovation in after-sales service.
The lineup, which includes both Inverter and Non-Inverter models ranging from 1.0 HP to 2.5 HP, is available for purchase online starting today via the Philips Home Flagship Store on Shopee.
A Digital-First Approach to Maintenance
A standout feature of the Philips Air Series Ab1 is the introduction of the SmartCare QR Hub. Moving away from traditional paper warranties, Philips has integrated a unique QR code directly onto the indoor and outdoor units.
By scanning this code, users gain instant access to a digital ecosystem that allows them to:
- Register for e-warranty.
- Request service and maintenance support without filling out forms.
- Diagnose faults instantly via an integrated error code guide.
- Contact customer service directly.
“Convenience has become just as important as comfort,” the company stated, emphasising that the hub is designed to offer “effortless peace of mind” far beyond standard warranty practices.
Hygiene and Performance Features
Recognising the tropical Malaysian climate, the Philips Air Series Ab1 features One-Touch Turbo cooling. This technology allows the unit to reach desired temperatures rapidly, providing powerful airflow in just 30 seconds.
Health and hygiene are also central to the new design. The series includes a Multi-Functional Composite Filter designed to act as a barrier against bacteria and impurities. This is paired with Self Clean Technology, which automatically cleans the evaporator to prevent dust buildup and ensure the airflow remains fresh.
