The upcoming POCO Pad will mark POCO’s foray into the tablet market. As the sub-brand of Xiaomi, known for offering budget-friendly devices, expands its product line, this news comes after the FCC certification of the device, which has unveiled some of its key specifications.

POCO Pad: A Rebranded Redmi Pad Pro?

Interestingly, the FCC listing suggests that the POCO Pad might not be an entirely new device. Moreover, the recently announced Redmi Pad Pro appears to have been rebranded by POCO for its tablet. This conclusion arises from the identical hardware specifications shared by both devices; the only difference being a regional variant code in the model numbers.

Expected Specifications

Based on the revealed information, the POCO tablet is expected to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 1.0. Furthermore, it’s likely built on top of the Android 14 operating system. Additionally, it will support Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and offer 33W fast wired charging. Rumours suggest that the display will feature a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1600 x 2560 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the POCO tablet is expected to pack a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. Additionally, it will be paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. As for storage options, there are said to be 128GB and 256GB variants available. Keeping the lights on will be a sizeable 10,000mAh battery. Moreover, it will support 33W fast charging. In terms of cameras, the tablet is rumoured to sport an 8MP camera sensor on both the rear and front sides.
