Razer Launches a Barrage of New Peripherals…and a Cushion?

Razer has announced a suite of new peripherals aimed at mobile and desktop gamers, including a surprising addition to their audio lineup. The company unveiled the Razer Basilisk Mobile, Joro, and the Clio, expanding its product offerings for gamers on the go and at home.

Razer Basilisk Mobile: Precision on the Move

Razer Basilisk Mobile

The Basilisk Mobile is a wireless gaming mouse designed for both portability and performance. To begin with, it weighs just 76g, making it easy to carry and use on the go. Moreover, this ergonomic mouse offers up to 105 hours of battery life and tri-mode connectivity, including the company’s proprietary HyperSpeed Wireless technology. In addition, it features 10 customisable controls, an 18K DPI Razer Focus X Optical Sensor, Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, and Razer HyperScroll Technology. Ultimately, the company emphasises its suitability for both work and play.

Joro: Ultra-Portable Gaming Keyboard

The company also introduced the Joro, an ultra-portable wireless gaming keyboard. This slim keyboard (16.5 mm thin and 374 grams) is designed for multi-device use and features a compact form factor with a function row and full-size arrow keys. It includes Snap Tap mode for responsive FPS gameplay, customisable keys, and support for Apple devices with secondary Mac legends. The Joro offers up to 1,800 hours of battery life and single-zone Razer Chroma RGB lighting.

Razer Synapse for Mac Preview

The gaming brand is also bringing its software ecosystem to macOS with the Razer Synapse for Mac Preview. This software will allow Mac users to customise and control 17 Razer peripherals, including the new Joro, Viper V3 Pro, and the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%.

Clio: Immersive Audio Head Cushion

Razer Clio

In a departure from traditional peripherals, the company unveiled the Clio, a head cushion with integrated near-field dual speakers. Designed to redefine comfort and convenience, the Clio aims to provide an immersive audio experience without the need for a headset. Not only does it feature THX Spatial Audio, but it also offers wireless connectivity via HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth, all wrapped in a plush memory foam design. Furthermore, the company highlights its versatility, emphasising its use as both a standalone speaker and a supplement to existing surround sound setups. Notably, in line with Razer’s sustainability initiatives, the Clio charges with a standard USB-C cable, although, in keeping with eco-conscious practices, a cable is not included.
