Razer PC Remote Play: Stream PC Games to Mobile with Ease
At CES 2025, Razer unveiled Razer PC Remote Play, a game streaming service currently in beta that allows gamers to stream their PC games to mobile devices or handhelds like the Steam Deck. Unlike cloud gaming services, Razer’s streaming service leverages your own gaming PC, enabling you to enjoy high-fidelity gaming experiences on the go.
Superior Performance
Powered by the open-source Moonlight client, Razer’s new streaming service delivers a significant leap in performance compared to existing solutions like Steam Link. By utilizing NVIDIA’s GameStream protocol, it supports impressive resolutions and frame rates, including 4K 120FPS with HDR, while minimizing latency and visual degradation. This translates to a remarkably smooth and responsive gaming experience, even when streaming demanding titles with ray tracing.
Effortless Setup and Compatibility
Enabled through the Razer Cortex app for Windows, the new streaming service seamlessly integrates with popular gaming platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, and PC Game Pass. It offers broad compatibility, supporting both iOS and Android devices. The service intelligently adjusts resolution and frame rate based on the receiving device’s capabilities, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
Connectivity and Performance
Razer recommends a minimum internet speed of 15 Mbps for a stable streaming experience, with 30 Mbps ideal for optimal performance. While local networks and Wi-Fi provide the best results, Razer PC Remote Play also supports streaming over mobile networks, allowing gamers to enjoy their PC libraries while on the move.
