Xiaomi has launched the 5G version of its Redmi 13 series, following up on the Helio G91-powered 4G model released last month. This new variant boasts the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE chipset and runs Android 14-based HyperOS.

The Redmi 13 5G features a large 6.79-inch FullHD+ LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a lag-free experience. Protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the display offers 550 nits peak brightness and even supports wet touch for convenient usage. A 13MP selfie camera sits discreetly within a punch-hole cutout.
On the back, the Redmi 13 5G sports a sleek glass panel with a unique triple-circle design housing the camera system and an accompanying ring flash. The primary camera utilizes the impressive 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor, promising high-resolution photos. A 2MP macro unit completes the rear camera setup.
Performance and Battery
Apart from the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC, the phone packs up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD card for additional space. A long-lasting 5,030mAh battery keeps the phone powered, with support for 33W fast charging. According to Redmi, the included 33W charger can refuel the battery to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Additional Features
The new Redmi device comes equipped with a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio convenience, and an IR blaster for controlling appliances. It also boasts an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner ensures secure unlocking.
Colours, Price, and Availability
The Redmi 13 5G comes in three attractive colours: Hawaiian Blue, Orchid Pink, and Black Diamond. It will be available in India starting July 12th in two memory configurations:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: INR13,999 (approximately RM790)
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: INR15,499 (approximately RM874)
