Samsung Health Monitor App Now Available in Malaysia with Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification
Samsung has recently launched the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature on the Samsung Health Monitor app in Malaysia. In addition to this, the app’s Blood Pressure and Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring features remain available. Together, these tools help Galaxy Watch users detect irregular heart rhythms that may suggest atrial fibrillation (AFib). As a result, users can gain a more comprehensive understanding of their heart health.
The IHRN feature monitors irregular heart rhythms in the background. It alerts the user if there is potential AFib activity. Combined with Blood Pressure and Heart Rate monitoring, this gives users deeper insights into their cardiovascular health.
Since its launch in 2020, the Samsung Health Monitor app has expanded to 74 markets globally. Over 15 million Galaxy Watch users have utilized the app to track their blood pressure and ECG, gaining a better understanding of their heart health through continuous monitoring and recording.
“Cardiovascular disease remains one of the main causes of death around the world, and we’re committed to empowering our users to stay informed about their heart health by providing monitoring tools, including blood pressure measurement and irregular heart rhythm notification,” said Hon Pak, Vice President and Head of Digital Health Team, MX Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re constantly exploring new ways to help Galaxy Watch users obtain deeper insights on their health and wellness effortlessly, day and night.”
