So as a company, MMX has been producing lots of amazing appliances, and most notably their cleaning appliances, and while they have lots of variety of vacuums, they are slowly expanding their wings to give more options for mopping solutions too. 

So in this video, I will be talking about yet another brand new product from MMX, which is the Aero Max Pro S738 to see how this new Wet and Dry vacuum performs!

 

Unboxing

But first, let’s find out what’s inside of the box.

So the unboxing process was pretty straightforward, where firstly it comes with the user manual. Then the charging adapter will be inside another smaller box.

Next, there is the self-cleaning dock or tray.

And the only thing that you will need to assemble is the handle itself, and you are done! 

 

Design and Build

Next, looking at the design and build quality, the first thing that I’ve noticed is how although the vacuum does look heavy, because of how it is thicker than the regular vacuum but to my surprise, it wasn’t at all, as it had a total weight of only 3.7kg.

I also like how even before I start the vacuum, the grip of the vacuum already feels like something that you would use for a really long time without having any fatigue.

And speaking of which, the vacuum also had a very good dimensions overall, where it had a total measurement of 1089mm x 280mm x 237mm, so it’s great for an average 6-foot 7-inches person like me (um… is that considered average?) 

And of course, it is also very suitable for all ages to use, with this amazing ergonomic design, where during my usage, it gave me great comfort during the cleaning process without suffering any hand or any lower back fatigue.

Now, this may not be a “feature” of sorts, but I have to talk about the color of the vacuum too because this two-tone black and white color does make the vacuum looks more appealing visually; hence it blends pretty well with your furniture, especially in my particular home, with the whole modern and minimalistic look, which made me appreciate the vacuum even more compared to other vacuum colors that usually stick out more and might not go very well with your other furniture as well.

 

Performance

All right, now that we have talked about the aesthetics of the vacuum, let’s dive into the specs, especially with the overall performance of this vacuum.

We are looking at 12 Air watts of power with 12,000Pa suction power, with the roller brush speed of up to 28,000 rpm.

The battery capacity on this is excellent as it has an average cleaning time of 28 to 30 minutes with its 2600mAh of battery and 180 watts of power consumption. 

Since the vacuum has a charging voltage of 30 Volts, it takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes to fully charge the vacuum once the battery becomes low.

As mentioned earlier, this is a 2-in-1 vacuum which allows you to both dry vacuum and wet vacuum at the same time.

And because of this, the vacuum is equipped with Dual Water Tanks, which means that there is no cross contamination of water, where one is for the clean and the other tank for the dirty water. The clean water tank has a capacity of 600ml and the dirty water tank is just a mere 50ml less, which is about 550ml, which is nice to know.

Operation

So having a wet and dry vacuum like this may look complicated to set up and use, but I assure you it isn’t, and here is how.

First, press and lift up the clean water tank and fill it up with water. 

Now, don’t worry about how to take them out for the first time as MMX has provided lots of sticker instructions around the vacuum, which will indicate how to remove and insert back these and other components as well.

Once that is done, just press it back down and then push it forward until you hear a click.

Then to start, on the handle itself, you’ll see a total of 3 buttons – the first button is the On/Off switch, where pressing it once turns the vacuum on and pressing it again turns it off; where this is for dry vacuuming to pick up the dust debris around your home or office, which does an excellent job on its own.

Now keep in mind not to immediately spray the water on the mop, where it is only advisable to do it when the power indicator on the vacuum itself turns green.

Now, speaking of water spraying, that is the function of the second button where if you press it once, it will switch into the normal cleaning mode, and here is where besides the indicator turning into white, it will spray about 30ml of water.

Then pressing the button the second time goes into the Deep cleaning mode, which transforms your vacuum cleaner into a mop that sprays almost three times the volume at 80ml instead, where the light indicator will turn red.

And since this is a 2-in-1 vacuum, here is where you can mop and vacuum at the same time.

Now, if you want to turn off the water pump completely, press the button for the third time, and here is where the light indicator will also be turned off.

Pretty simple right?

Then the third and final button is for the very unique TurnKey Cleaning or Self Cleaning Button; and here is where you’ll be getting the vacuum to clean after itself for you, like…REALLY!

So to activate this, you will need to first turn off the vacuum, place the vacuum on the self-cleaning dock, and then press and hold that button for about 1 second, and the indicator light will enter the three-stage cleaning process, which includes water spraying, self-cleaning and water absorption.

And yes, as the name suggests, you are looking at a hands-free self-cleaning, where the whole entire process will take about 2 minutes plus to complete, so that was really cool!

A quick disclaimer or a word of warning that you should never use the self-cleaning mode when the vacuum is being charged, so please ensure that the charger is not connected when you are in this particular mode.

Now, as a precaution to ensure that there is no further damage to the vacuum’s cleaning system, even though the clean water tanks have a capacity of 600ml, as mentioned earlier, try not to go below the 340ml mark to ensure a smoother cleaning process and of course to prolong the longevity of the overall vacuum.

Once you are done with the mopping, just remove the dirty water tank by pressing and pulling it out gently, dispose of the dirty water, clean the filter, and put it back until you hear a click sound.

In terms of storage, MMX also recommends placing the machine vertically always when it’s not in use, and it is also recommended to remove the roller brush from the vacuum. The roller brush could be removed by pulling it towards the left and placing it on the tray vertically as seen like this.

 

Safety Precautions 

So the Aero Max Pro S738 has lots of safety precautions, which is nice to know, and all of this can be monitored via the light indicator on the vacuum itself, where if the Dirty Tank is full, the water spray indicator will be white and will flash quickly for about 5 seconds.

And if the floor brush is blocked by large particles and does not work, the first power indicator will show red and flash quickly for 3 seconds.

Next, the last power indicator will flash when the vacuum is at lower power.

Then if there is any overcurrent or overloading issue, the vacuum will just stop working.

Next, if the original charger is not used, all the indicator lights will show red, so be sure to charge the vacuum only with the original charger.

And finally, there is the over-voltage and high-temperature protection, which will also show red as well.

Conclusion

So there you have it guys, my full review of the new MMX Aero Max Pro S738. Based on my usage daily, I see that this could be a very good option if you are looking for the perfect 2-in-1 Wet & Dry vacuum, because for me, I really love this product. It has given me lots of convenience, especially when it comes to mopping the floor.

While yes, there are many 2-in-1 vacuums out there, including the ones that I have reviewed previously from MMX, but with this Aero Max Pro, the biggest takeaway of this is the fact that it has dual water tanks, which makes cleaning your floor and cleaning this mop itself a very super easy task with the Self-cleaning or TurnKey Cleaning function, making this not only a really aesthetically pleasing product but also performing very well and also very functional too.
