The OnePlus Pad Could Be A Reality

For a long time, OnePlus has been rumoured to be entering the tablet market and now, the company have filed a trademark with EUIPO for the OnePlus Pad, which suggests that the company might have a tablet in the works.

The filing was published on July 1st but it does not provide much in terms of design, specs, or features of the device. However, OnePlus’s intent on trademarking the title suggests extending its product lines beyond smartphones and wearables.

This might however just be a rebranded device. The other company under the BBK Electronics umbrella that are rumoured to be working on a tablet is Realme. In June, Android Authority reported on the Realme Pad, the brands first tablet. There have also been rumours about Vivo and Oppo launching tablets.

Considering the fact that OnePlus and Oppo are further integrating, it would not be wrong to think that the two companies are working on a tablet together.

It should also be taken into account that the filing is not concrete evidence that OnePlus will be launching a tablet as it might just be the company staking its claim on the name.
