iPhone 13 Might Bring Improvements To Wireless Charging

A new video from EverythingApplePro and Max Weinbach has provided more information on what you can expect from the upcoming iPhone 13 or iPhone 12s, depending on which rumours are true. In the video, Max Weinbach says that the upcoming iPhone might have a larger wireless charging coil for better heat management.

Weinbach had also previously reported that the upcoming iPhone will have a stronger array of magnets in the back to help with MagSafe. The larger wireless charging coil design could be necessary to compensate for stronger MagSafe magnets.

Another rumour that was suggested in the video is that the larger coils could enable reverse wireless charging which has been available on many Android devices but is yet to come to the iPhone. FCC filings for the iPhone 12 hinted at hidden reverse wireless charging features but nothing ever materialised.

Weinbach also reported that the iPhone 13 line will have support for Portrait mode video. This feature would allow users to add dynamic bokeh blur to videos and static images. iOS 15 brought support for Portrait mode in FaceTime so it is not too far of a stretch to think that it will also come to the stock Camera app.

The upcoming line of iPhones should be launching in September so we will know more about the device then.
