Touch N Go RFID

Touch ‘N Go has proudly introduced the RFID electronic toll payment system which is the latest and fastest way of going through tolls here in Malaysia. This Radio Frequency (RF) payment system has more stable RF signals as compared to the Smart Tag which uses Infrared (IR).

There are two types of RFID stickers – the windscreen sticker and the headlamp sticker. The latter is used for those who have heavy tinting on your windscreen, especially those not approved by JPJ.

Installation of the sticker is only performed by authorized personal from Touch “N Go and toll charges are made through the Touch “N Go app, which is available for Android & IOS devices through their eWallet payment service.

This passive RFID sticker cant be placed close to metal, has a lifespan of about 5 years and has high durability of withstanding between -20 to +55 degrees. In case of theft or if the sticker gets damaged or tempered, it will not affect your balance as it will be void immediately.

The RFID stickers are available only for selected groups, for now. Its pilot testing has already kicked off since the 3rd of September for Class 1 vehicles around Klang Valley area and is looking to be available to the public early next year.
