Xiaomi recently showcased its array of smart home devices in its newly set Mi Smart Home on the sidelines of its buka puasa media event.
During the event, visitors were treated to a demonstration of a smart connected home through the use of Xiaomi’s various interconnected ecosystem devices. Using the Mi Home app installed in Xiaomi’s smartphones, visitors were able to give instructions to different devices across the living room (Mi Smart Sensor Set, Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P, Mi Air Purifier 2S, Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Mi Laser Projector 150″ etc), bedroom (Mi Motion-Activated Night Light, Mi TV, Mi LED Smart Bulb etc), bathroom (Mi Electric Toothbrush, soap dispenser etc), kitchen (Mi Induction Cooker, Mi IH Rice Cooker and Mi Smart Kettle) and study (Mi LED Desk Lamp).
According to Xiaomi, the Mi Smart Home concept is primarily focused on three main aspects: security health and lifestyle. Xiaomi’s wide range of ecosystem products are claimed to cover each of these aspects to ensure a healthy lifestyle and secure home for modern living.
Allen An, Xiaomi’s Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore, said the global technology leader’s wide spectrum of highly innovative ecosystem products serve to make the lives of our users and Mi Fans much easier, their homes more intelligent and their daily needs more responsive.
“We are committed to truly bringing innovation to everyone. With an ever increasing number of amazing products at affordable prices being introduced to Malaysia, we are convinced that this market is pivotal for our strategy in the region and the overall global expansion journey,” he said.
Xiaomi said it is dedicated to bring as many IoT-connected smart devices and lifestyle products to Malaysia. In 2019 alone, Xiaomi has officially introduced over 300 SKUs of ecosystem products into the Malaysian market, a significant a jump from just 30 back in 2016.
This was also the first time Xiaomi has organised a buka puasa event in the holy month of Ramadan for media friends and influencers in Malaysia in an effort to show their gratitude for their long standing support and unwavering dedication.
“With the valuable suggestions and feedback from our media friends, we are working hard to bring in more ecosystem products as fast as possible,” An added.
To achieve its objective of delivering a fully connected smart home, Xiaomi Malaysia has released two Smart Home packages: Standard and Premium.
