Xiaomi Launches Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen in Malaysia: Powerful Upgrades for RM219
Xiaomi has officially launched the second generation of its popular streaming device, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen, in Malaysia. Priced at a highly competitive RM219, the new stick brings significant internal upgrades to turn any display with an HDMI port into a modern smart TV.

The biggest changes to the 2nd Gen stick are on the inside. The device is powered by a new 6nm high-performance platform featuring a 2.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU. According to Xiaomi, this new 64-bit architecture delivers an 80% boost in CPU performance and a massive 150% improvement in GPU performance compared to the previous generation.
Connectivity has also received a major bump. The new TV stick now supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6, ensuring faster transmission speeds, increased bandwidth, and seamless instant playback of high-resolution video streams.
As the name suggests, the device supports 4K decoding for ultra-clear visuals. It also features professional-grade Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support for enhanced dynamic range and shadow details.
For audio, the stick supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding, offering panoramic surround sound and height virtualisation for a truly immersive home theatre experience.
On the software front, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen runs on the latest Google TV operating system, gathering films, shows, and content from various apps and subscriptions into one organised interface.
Users can navigate the interface using the included 360-degree Bluetooth voice remote control. With a dedicated Google Assistant button, users can easily search for content, control smart home devices, and ask questions using their voice. The device also features built-in Chromecast capabilities, allowing users to easily cast content directly from their phones or tablets.
