Xiaomi Expands Ecosystem in Malaysia With Xiaomi Watch 5, Mini LED TVs, AIoT Devices and More

Apart from the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi Pad 8 series, Xiaomi has expanded its ecosystem in Malaysia with the launch of several new AIoT products, headlined by the Xiaomi Watch 5. Joining it are the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, Xiaomi Tag, REDMI Buds 8 Pro, and the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series.

Xiaomi Watch 5: Wear OS 6 and Google Gemini Built In
The Xiaomi Watch 5 runs on Wear OS 6 by Google, bringing native support for Google apps like Calendar, Maps and Play. It also supports Google Wallet with NFC for contactless payments.
It’s also Xiaomi’s first smartwatch to ship with Google Gemini pre-installed, enabling hands-free assistance straight from the wrist.
Interaction goes beyond touch. The watch supports gesture controls powered by EMG, IMU and PPG sensors. Users can pinch twice or rub twice for quick actions, or customise gestures like snapping fingers or rotating the wrist to dismiss calls, silence alarms, trigger workouts, or control the phone camera remotely.
Under the hood, it runs on Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 paired with a BES2800 low-power co-processor. Xiaomi claims up to six days of battery life in smart mode, or up to 18 days in power saver mode, backed by a 930mAh battery with silicon-carbon tech.
It features a stainless-steel frame, sapphire glass on both sides and a 1.54-inch display. Health tracking includes one-tap health checks, training insights and dual-band GNSS with offline maps support.

UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W: Just 6mm Thin
The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W focuses on portability. It measures just 6mm thick and weighs 98g, making it easy to slip into a pocket.
It supports up to 15W wireless fast charging alongside USB-C wired charging, and can output power both ways simultaneously. Magnetic alignment ensures stable charging for compatible devices.
Despite its slim build, it packs a 5000mAh battery with enhanced thermal management and safety protection.

Xiaomi Tag: Works With Apple and Google Networks
The Xiaomi Tag integrates with either Apple Find My or Google Android Find Hub, depending on your ecosystem.
Users can trigger a sound within Bluetooth range, enable Lost Mode with contact details, and rely on collaborative finding across supported networks. It also includes anti-stalking alerts if an unknown tracker is detected moving with you.
The tag weighs around 10g, runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery and offers up to one year of battery life. It is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance.

REDMI Buds 8 Pro: Triple Drivers and 55dB ANC
The REDMI Buds 8 Pro feature a coaxial triple-driver setup with Dolby Audio support for improved depth and clarity.
They offer up to 55dB active noise cancellation with a bandwidth up to 5kHz. An adaptive algorithm adjusts noise reduction in real time, while triple-mic AI noise reduction improves call clarity, even in windy conditions.
Battery life stands at up to eight hours per charge, or 33 hours with the case. A quick five-minute charge delivers up to two hours of playback.

Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series: Up to 98 Inches
For home entertainment, Xiaomi introduced the TV S Mini LED 2026 Series in sizes ranging from 55-inch to 98-inch.
The lineup combines Mini LED local dimming with QLED quantum dot technology, delivering improved contrast and colour accuracy. It supports 4K resolution, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, alongside Dolby Atmos audio from dual 15W speakers.
Gamers will appreciate the 144Hz refresh rate, with Game Boost pushing it up to 288Hz. It also runs Google TV and supports Apple AirPlay and Wi-Fi 6.
The 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch models are available from 3 March 2026, while the 85-inch and 98-inch variants are arriving later in March.
