Get excited Malaysians because today, Netflix has announced the launch of a new mobile plan for Malaysia! By subscribing to this plan, members will be able to watch all of Netflix’s content in standard definition on one smartphone or tablet at a time. And they will be able to watch all of this with an ad free experience. The best part? All of this will be available for only RM17 a month!
Netflix has also announced the “adaptive screening” feature with this plan, which is catered towards entry level devices. What this means is that Netflix will adapt the screening towards your phone. If you have a lower end device, your stream will load faster as Netflix will detect that it has a lower resolution display and cater towards that without the hassle of waiting for it to load to a higher resolution. Although catered towards entry level devices, this will work on both high end and low end devices. On top of that, Netflix also announced that their famous Smart Download feature will be coming to iOS devices as well! This feature will automatically download new episodes after you have finished watching the previous one.
So, in a nutshell, for only RM17 a month, users will gain access to Netflix’s entire library and also gain the adaptive screening feature which in my opinion, is a very useful feature especially for lower end devices. The plan is also only available in India and now Malaysia! This plan will join the other 3 available Netflix plans for users who prefer to watch their content on bigger screens that is the Basic, Standard and Premium plans.
