Resident Evil Fans Rejoice! New Game in Development by RE7 Director
Capcom has officially confirmed that a new Resident Evil title is in the works. The announcement came during their recent Capcom Next 2024 showcase, though details remain under wraps for now.
While not explicitly referred to as RE9, the upcoming game will be helmed by Koshi Nakanishi, the visionary director behind the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Nakanishi acknowledged the challenge of following up on RE7’s success but assured fans that he has a “substantial” concept in mind.
Specific details are scarce at the moment, but Nakanishi expressed his excitement to reveal more when the time is right.
This news comes alongside the launch of RE7 on iOS and iPadOS devices, bringing the chilling atmosphere and scares to a whole new platform. The game is also now available for Mac users.
