Samsung Launches New Monitors in 2025
Samsung today unveiled its 2025 Smart Monitor, Odyssey Gaming Monitor and ViewFinity Monitor lineups, showcasing cutting-edge display technologies at its First Look at CES. The new models come with AI-powered features. They also expand into the OLED market by introducing new sizes. Additionally, they offer innovative form factors designed to improve user experiences. Whether for work, play, or creativity, these enhancements aim to deliver greater versatility.
Smart Monitor M9: AI-Powered Entertainment and Efficiency
The Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model) debuts Samsung’s first on-device AI features. AI Picture Optimizer analyses the content and automatically adjusts the display settings to deliver the best possible viewing experience. Additionally, 4K AI Upscaling Pro enhances lower-resolution content. As a result, it boosts image quality, upgrading it to near 4K resolution for clearer and sharper visuals.
The 32-inch 4K OLED display offers stunning visuals with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 support. It provides deep blacks and vibrant colours for an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the built-in 4K camera ensures seamless video conferencing.
Odyssey Series: Pushing Boundaries with OLED
The Odyssey series introduces groundbreaking gaming monitors:
- Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model): The world’s first 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor with 165Hz refresh rate and 165 PPI for unparalleled detail and smoothness.
- Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF model): Redefines speed with the industry’s first OLED screen boasting a 500Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth gameplay on a QHD display.
Both models feature 0.03ms response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 for immersive gaming experiences.
Odyssey 3D: Immersive 3D Gaming Without Glasses
Samsung also unveiled the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) gaming monitor. Equipped with a lenticular lens and a front stereo camera, the Odyssey 3D delivers a customizable 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. It also leverages AI to analyze and convert 2D video into 3D, adding a new dimension to entertainment.
ViewFinity S8: A Bigger Canvas for Productivity
The 37-inch ViewFinity S8 (S80UD model) is the largest 16:9 4K monitor to date, offering a 34% larger screen than its predecessor. It delivers sRGB 99% colour accuracy and is TÜV Rheinland certified for ‘Ergonomic Workspace Display’, promoting user comfort and productivity. The built-in KVM switch and 90W USB-C connection streamline multitasking and connectivity.
