The New iPhone SE 4 iPhone 16e is Here!
After endless rumours of a new iPhone SE on the horizon, Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 16e, expanding its iPhone 16 lineup with a device that balances performance, camera capabilities, and affordability.
Powerful Performance and Display
The iPhone 16e is powered by the A18 chip, which is up to 80% faster than the A13 Bionic found in older models like the iPhone 11. This ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks, mobile gaming, and AI-powered features. The device also includes the Apple C1 modem, Apple’s first in-house cellular modem, which enhances 5G connectivity and power efficiency.
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display uses OLED technology, providing vibrant colours, deep blacks, and high contrast. Whether watching HDR videos, gaming, or reading, users will experience sharp and immersive visuals.
Advanced Camera System
The 48MP Fusion camera system on the iPhone 16e allows users to capture high-resolution photos and videos with exceptional detail. The integrated 2x Telephoto lens provides optical zoom, effectively giving users two cameras in one. The front-facing TrueDepth camera ensures sharper selfies and enhanced Portrait mode shots.
Apple Intelligence and iOS 18
The iPhone 16e is built for Apple Intelligence, Apple’s new AI-powered system that enhances productivity and creativity. Users can edit photos with the Clean Up tool, generate personalised emojis with Genmoji, and use Siri with ChatGPT integration. iOS 18 also introduces a more customisable Home Screen, RCS messaging support, and improved privacy features.
Durability and Safety Features
Apple has designed the iPhone 16e to be highly durable. The device is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance and features Ceramic Shield glass on the front and a toughened glass back.
For safety, the iPhone 16e includes Emergency SOS via satellite, Roadside Assistance, and Crash Detection, ensuring users can get help even in remote locations.
Battery Life and Charging
The iPhone 16e boasts all-day battery life, lasting up to 12 hours longer than previous SE models. It supports USB-C charging, allowing users to charge their iPhone, iPad, Mac, and AirPods with the same cable.
Malaysian Pricing and Availability
The iPhone 16e will be available in Malaysia in three storage options:
- 128GB – RM2,999
- 256GB – RM3,499
- 512GB – RM4,199
Malaysian customers can also opt for monthly payments of RM124.96 for 24 months. Through Apple Trade In, users can get up to RM900 credit when trading in an iPhone 11 or RM1,000 credit for an iPhone 12.
Pre-orders start on the 21st of February, 9PM Malaysia time, with availability beginning on the 28th of February.
