Nothing Officially Unveils Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro

After many rumours and leaks, Nothing has officially launched its highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. While both devices share a common platform, the Pro model boasts enhanced features, superior cameras, and a distinct design, setting it apart from its sibling.

The Phone (3a) Pro comes with a 6.77-inch OLED display, which is protected by Panda Glass for added durability. Moreover, it offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and an impressive peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Additionally, the device is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, ensuring seamless performance.

Nothing has placed significant emphasis on the (3a) Pro’s camera system. The device sports a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom (expandable to 6x with AI enhancements), and an 8MP ultrawide lens. A 50MP front-facing camera promises high-quality selfies.

A robust 5,000 mAh battery with 50W fast charging ensures long-lasting usage. In fact, Nothing claims it can reach 50% charge in just 19 minutes. Moreover, the device features the iconic Glyph interface and IP64 water and dust resistance, making it both stylish and durable. Also, the programmable Essential Key, located under the power button, further enhances its appeal.

Software-wise, the (3a) Pro runs NothingOS 3.1 based on Android 15, with a promise of 3 major OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

The (3a) Pro will be available in Grey and Black, with a 12GB/256GB configuration priced at EUR459 (~RM2,168). Pre-orders begin on the 11th March.

Nothing Phone (3a): Solid Performance, Accessible Price

The standard Phone (3a) shares the same 6.77-inch OLED display and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset as the Pro model. However, it features a slightly different camera setup, replacing the periscope lens with a 50MP 2x zoom camera and a 32MP front-facing shooter.

The battery and charging capabilities remain identical to the Pro model, and the (3a) also inherits the IP64 rating, Essential Key, and the same software support.

The Phone (3a) will be available in Black, White, and Blue (excluding the US). Global configurations include 8GB/128GB and will retail for EUR329 (~RM1,554) and 12GB/256GB for EUR379 (~RM1,790). Pre-orders for the Phone (3a) start on 4th March via Nothing’s official website in most markets. Malaysian availability will be revealed at a later date.
