Full Technical Details of Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Revealed
According to a report from the German site WinFuture, the highly anticipated Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is set to bring several key upgrades, despite retaining a familiar design. The report, based on a leaked official spec sheet, provides a comprehensive look at the new foldable’s technical specifications just days before its expected unveiling.
The most notable changes are found in the displays and internals. The external screen is now said to be a slightly larger 6.4-inch panel with an increased refresh rate, ranging from 60 to 100 Hz, and a higher resolution of 2364×1080 pixels. The main, eight-inch folding display will reportedly maintain its size and 2076×2152 pixel resolution but will see a significant boost in brightness, peaking at 3000 nits in HDR mode.
Under the hood, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature the new Google Tensor G5 processor, paired with a substantial 16 GB of RAM. Storage options will include 256GB, 512GB, and a 1TB UFS flash variant.
While the camera system largely remains the same, with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens, the report notes a major software enhancement. The new model will be capable of up to 10x optical zoom, a significant improvement over its predecessor.
The battery also sees an upgrade, increasing in capacity to 5015 mAh. Fast charging is supported at a maximum of 30 watts, which can charge the device to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. A new wireless charging standard called “PixelSnap,” a variant of Qi2, will enable 15-watt wireless charging.
In terms of durability, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will reportedly be Google’s first foldable to receive an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. This places it on par with many traditional smartphones. The device will also feature a commitment to sustainability, with its frame and most other metal components made from 100 percent recycled materials.
The report also states that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be unveiled on 20 August with deliveries commencing on 9 October. The starting price for the 256GB version in Germany is rumoured to be €1,899 (~RM7,380).
