Samsung Announces Galaxy Buds3 FE Earbuds

Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Buds3 FE, the latest model in its line of wireless earbuds. The new device is positioned as a more accessible option, incorporating features such as a new physical design, active noise cancellation, and Galaxy AI functionality.
The Galaxy Buds3 FE introduces a “Blade” design, which features a stem and controls. The new physical controls allow users to pinch the blade to make selections and swipe to adjust volume. The earbuds feature a dual-tone finish with semi-transparent elements.

Key functionalities include integration with Galaxy AI. When connected to a compatible Galaxy device, the earbuds can be used to access conversational AI via voice commands. Additionally, the Buds3 FE support the Galaxy AI Interpreter app, which facilitates real-time translation for conversations and lectures.
For audio, the earbuds are equipped with a larger speaker compared to their predecessor. This is intended to produce richer sound with deeper bass and clear treble. The model also includes Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) to reduce ambient sound and improve call quality. A machine learning model is used to isolate the user’s voice, and the microphone position has been adjusted for better voice pickup.
The earbuds are designed for integration within the Galaxy product ecosystem. Features such as Auto Switch allow for an automatic transfer of audio between Galaxy devices. While the Malaysian price has not been announced, Galaxy Buds3 FE is priced at USD150 (~RM633) in the U.S. The earbuds are scheduled to be “progressively available” locally starting on 19 September.
