Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Launched with a Battery the Size of a Power Bank

Redmi Unveils Redmi Note 15 Pro Series with Next-Gen Chipsets and 7,000mAh Batteries

Xiaomi’s popular sub-brand, Redmi, has officially introduced its newest mid-range flagship smartphones in China: the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. The new models bring significant upgrades in key areas, including processing power and battery capacity, aiming to redefine the competitive mid-range market.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Launch

Both the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ share a striking 6.83-inch AMOLED display. This vibrant panel features a 120Hz refresh rate, a sharp 1,280 x 2,772 pixel resolution, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The screen also offers 12-bit colour depth and is protected by Xiaomi’s robust Dragon Crystal Glass, offering enhanced durability against drops and scratches.

Updated Chipsets Power Performance

Snapdragon 7s Gen 4

The two new Pro models are powered by different, yet equally updated, chipsets. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the first device to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, a successor to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, delivering a reported 7% improvement in both CPU and GPU performance. The device also includes a 5,200mm² vapour chamber for efficient cooling. A new “Satellite Messaging Edition” of the Pro+ makes this a first for a Redmi device.

In contrast, the standard Redmi Note 15 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra SoC. This is an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7300, providing an upgrade over the Note 14 Pro’s processor.

Massive Battery Boost

Both new phones feature a substantial increase in battery capacity, a major highlight of this generation. Both the Note 15 Pro and Pro+ come with a large 7,000mAh battery, a considerable jump from their predecessors’ 5,500mAh and 6,200mAh units. The Note 15 Pro+ supports blazing-fast 90W wired charging, while the Note 15 Pro offers 45W speeds. A convenient 22.5W reverse wired charging capability allows the phones to act as a power bank.

Familiar Camera Systems and Durability

The camera setups on the new devices remain largely unchanged from the previous generation. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a triple-camera system, comprising a 50MP main module (OV Light Hunter 800), a 50MP portrait lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The Redmi Note 15 Pro offers a dual-camera system with a 50MP main shooter (LYT-600) and an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Both phones are built for durability, featuring IP68 and IP69K dust and water protection. They run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which is based on the Android 15 operating system.
