The tech giant is expected to use the stage to unveil its next-generation smartphone lineup, the iPhone 17 series. Rumours have been swirling for months, and the event is poised to confirm a major design overhaul, including a completely redesigned camera bar that is rumoured to adopt a horizontal, rectangular shape on the Pro models. Beyond the aesthetic changes, the entire lineup is expected to get a significant camera upgrade, with a new 24-megapixel front-facing camera on all models.

One of the most talked-about changes is the potential introduction of a brand new model, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. This sleek, new device is tipped to be the thinnest iPhone ever made and is widely speculated to replace the Plus models in the lineup. The event will finally reveal if this rumour holds true, positioning the iPhone 17 Air as a middle ground between the standard model and the top-tier Pro phones.

The event will also mark the full release of iOS 26, the company’s latest mobile operating system. First unveiled at WWDC earlier this year, iOS 26 introduces the new “Liquid Glass” design language, a visual update that brings a fluid, translucent, and interactive glass-like sheen to app icons, widgets, and user interface elements. This new design promises to dynamically reflect light and change with user interaction, creating a more dynamic and unified feel across Apple’s devices.
Finally, while the iPhone 17 will undoubtedly be the star of the show, we can also expect to see the announcement of new hardware in Apple’s wearable ecosystem. The event could see the debut of the Apple Watch Series 11 and a new generation of AirPods, with the AirPods Pro 3 rumoured to feature significant upgrades like heart rate monitoring.
