Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15C in Malaysia, introducing its latest entry into the budget smartphone market. The device is now available for purchase nationwide.
The Redmi 15C features a 7.99mm thick body with a flat frame and weighs 205g. It comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and its Wet Touch Technology 2.0 is designed to maintain screen responsiveness with wet hands. The phone is offered in four colours: Midnight Black, Mint Green, Moonlight Blue, and Twilight Orange.

For power, the smartphone is equipped with a 6000mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, this provides up to 82 hours of music playback or 22 hours of video playback. The device supports 33W fast charging, which the company states can charge the battery to 50% in 31 minutes. The phone also supports reverse charging for other devices.

The viewing experience is centred on a 6.9-inch Dot Drop display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 and a brightness of 500 nits. The screen has received certifications from TÜV Rheinland for Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free, which are intended to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Internally, the Redmi 15C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra octa-core processor and operates on Xiaomi HyperOS 2. It supports LPDDR4X RAM with memory extension technology up to 16GB and includes eMMC 5.1 storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.
Security features include both AI face unlock and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. For photography, it has a 50MP AI dual camera system on the back, which includes a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Both cameras support 1080p video recording at 30fps.
The Redmi 15C is priced at RM449 for the 6GB+128GB model and RM599 for the 8GB+256GB model. It is available through authorised Xiaomi stores in Malaysia and online on mi.com, and official Xiaomi stores on Shopee and Lazada.
