Apple Unveils iPhone Air, Highlighting Thinner Design and Enhanced Durability

Alongside the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, Apple today announced the debut of the all-new iPhone Air, a revolutionary new iPhone with a breakthrough design that is impossibly thin and light, yet more durable than any previous model. The iPhone Air delivers pro performance, innovative camera experiences, and remarkable all-day battery life, setting a new standard for smartphone design and technology.

At just 5.6mm thin, the iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone ever created. It features a new, elegant and strong titanium design with an innovative internal architecture that maximises space for the battery.

This design, combined with the most power-efficient Apple-designed chips ever: the A19 Pro, N1, and C1X, enables fantastic all-day battery life.

The iPhone Air features a stunning 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz. For enhanced durability, the front of the device is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which offers 3x better scratch resistance, while the back is protected with Ceramic Shield, providing 4x better resistance to cracks than previous models.

The new device also boasts a powerful 48MP Fusion Main camera system that provides the equivalent of four lenses with incredible image quality. The innovative 18MP Center Stage front camera takes selfies to the next level, offering a wide field of view and the ability to expand to include everyone in group shots automatically.

iPhone Air will be available in four stunning finishes: space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue. Pre-orders begin this Friday, 12 September, with availability starting on Friday, 19 September.
The iPhone Air starts at RM4,999 for the 256GB version. It will also be available with 512GB and 1TB storage options at RM5,999 and RM6,999, respectively.
