Nothing Ear (3) Unveils Ultra-Slim, Metal-Infused Design

Nothing Ear (3) Design Reveal

Nothing officially unveiled the full design of its next-generation flagship audio product, the Nothing Ear (3), on September 11, 2025. The reveal showcases an evolution of the brand’s signature transparent aesthetic, now enhanced with durable metal components to create a more premium and refined product.

The design, spearheaded by Nothing Design Director Adam Bates, emphasises “the fundamentals of engineering and experience.” The new earbuds achieve an ultra-slim profile by minimising the internal clearance between components, a testament to what the company calls upgraded craftsmanship. A notable engineering feat is the re-engineered metal antenna, which now features a flat finish with a thickness of just 0.35 mm, reportedly an industry limit.

The charging case has also received a significant update. It is now crafted from 100% anodised recycled aluminium, featuring smoother curves and a more ergonomic shape for improved handling. The company also announced a “breakthrough Super Mic” as part of the new feature set.

While the design is now public, the full specifications and details about new functionalities for the Nothing Ear (3) are still under wraps. Nothing has scheduled a full reveal for September 18, promising to introduce new industry functions with the product.
