OPPO A6 Pro 5G Unveiled: 80W Charging, Military-Grade Durability, and Gaming Partnership
OPPO has officially launched the OPPO A6 Pro 5G in Malaysia today, introducing a new mid-range smartphone that combines long-lasting power and exceptional durability. The device is highlighted by a massive 6,500mAh battery, military-grade shock resistance, and an IP69 water and dust protection rating, making it a reliable companion for daily use.
The phone’s large battery capacity is supported by 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology, which can power the device to 100% in just 50 minutes. The battery is also designed for longevity, maintaining over 80% of its original capacity after more than five years of typical use, according to OPPO’s lab tests.
In a move to reinforce the phone’s ruggedness, OPPO Malaysia collaborated with Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department) on a special video campaign. The tribute honours the nation’s frontliners, drawing a parallel between their dedication and the A6 Pro 5G’s tough, dependable nature.
Beyond its durability, the OPPO A6 Pro 5G features a sleek, streamlined design with a 120Hz AMOLED display. The 1,080 x 2,374 resolution screen offers up to 1,400 nits peak brightness, ensuring vivid visuals and a smooth user experience. This is further enhanced by ColorOS 15, which includes the Trinity Engine and Luminous Rendering Engine for seamless performance.
In conjunction with the launch, OPPO Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MediaTek and the Malaysian eSports team JP Niners Empire. The partnership aims to enhance collaboration in mobile gaming innovation, optimise chipset performance, and integrate gamer-centric technologies into future OPPO products.
The OPPO A6 Pro 5G is available in two colourways, Stellar Blue and Coral Pink, retailing at RM1,199. The public can experience the new device at a special 5-day roadshow at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, LG East Court, from 24 to 28 September. Early bird customers who pre-order between 24 and 26 September will be among the first to receive their devices and will also get complimentary gifts worth RM997.
