ASUS ProArt P16 with RTX 50 GPU and AI Processor Debuts in Malaysia
ASUS has officially released the refreshed ProArt P16 laptop, a device designed for creative professionals that incorporates new AI processing capabilities and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. The latest model features AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and a high-resolution OLED display within a portable form factor.
The ProArt P16 is configured with the 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which includes a 50 TOPS Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for accelerating local AI tasks. For graphics-intensive work, the laptop can be equipped with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, which is designed to handle demanding processes such as 3D rendering and high-resolution video editing.
A key component is the ASUS Lumina Pro OLED display. The panel features a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits, and is factory-calibrated for a Delta E < 1 colour accuracy. According to ASUS, the display is intended to provide precise colour representation for video and design work, supporting multi-track 4K and 8K video playback.
The laptop is designated as a Copilot+ PC and includes several AI-related software features. A dedicated Copilot key provides access to Microsoft’s AI assistant. ASUS is also bundling its own software, including StoryCube for managing video files with AI-based sorting, and MuseTree, an application that generates images from text prompts locally on the device.
The device is built into a chassis that is 14.9mm thick and weighs 1.85kg, and it has been tested against MIL-STD-810H durability standards. The port selection includes USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.1, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader, along with support for WiFi 7. The laptop also retains the ASUS DialPad for tactile control in creative software.
Availability and Pricing
The ASUS ProArt P16 will be available in two configurations. The model with the GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU is available now from authorised resellers for RM12,999. The variant featuring the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is priced at RM19,999 and will be available from 13 October.
