Samsung W26 Arrives in China
Samsung, in partnership with China Telecom, has released the Samsung W26, its latest high-end foldable smartphone. The device is available exclusively in the Chinese market and is a regional variant of the company’s globally distributed Galaxy Z Fold series.

The new phone’s design includes a gold-coloured textured frame and a matte metal hinge cover, with options for “Danxi Red” or “Xuanyao Black” finishes. The company states that at 215 grams, the W26 is currently the thinnest and lightest large-screen foldable available.
A key technical feature of the Samsung W26 is the inclusion of satellite connectivity, which allows for calls and messaging in areas lacking cellular network coverage. This functionality is specific to the Chinese market and is not found on Samsung’s global foldable models.

Internally, the W26 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy platform. It comes standard with 16GB of RAM and is available with either 512GB or 1TB of storage.
The device is equipped with two Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays: an 8.0-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen. Both displays feature a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The rear camera system consists of three lenses: a 200MP wide-angle main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
The Samsung W26 is now for sale in China. The 512GB model is priced at CNY 16,999 (approximately RM11,190), and the 1TB model is priced at CNY 18,999 (approximately RM12,516). According to Samsung, there are no plans for an international release.
