HUAWEI Mate 80 Series and New 2-in-1 Tablet Pass Certification, Tipped for November Launch

HUAWEI Gears Up for November Launch as HUAWEI Mate 80 Series Gets Green Light

HUAWEI’s next-generation flagship smartphone lineup, the HUAWEI Mate 80 series, is expected to launch as early as next month after several new devices received mandatory certification in China. The approval also includes a new 2-in-1 tablet, paving the way for a new product release from the company.

According to information from China’s 3C certification body, four new HUAWEI devices have been approved. Three of them are believed to be models in the upcoming Mate 80 series. While the official names have not been confirmed, the approved models are thought to be the standard Mate 80, the Mate 80 Pro, and a premium Ultimate Design version.

The certification follows the recent appearance of photos online, purported to be the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro. The images show a device with a large, circular rear camera housing and several new color variants, suggesting a design that departs from its predecessor.

The certification documents reveal that all three smartphone models will support 88W wired fast charging. The fourth approved device, thought to be a new 2-in-1 tablet codenamed “Qianxuesen,” is listed with 66W charging capabilities.

This development indicates that HUAWEI may be returning to a more regular product launch schedule for its flagship devices, a cycle that was disrupted in recent years. The Mate 80 series is expected to be powered by a new generation of HUAWEI’s proprietary Kirin chipset, succeeding the one used in the Mate 70 series.

While other specifications are still under wraps, the certification is a crucial step before the products can be sold in China. Now we await an official announcement, which could take place in November.
