POCO F8 Ultra and Pro Launched: Flagship Power Meets Premium Sound
POCO has announced its entry into the premium smartphone segment with the global launch of the POCO F8 Series, comprising the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro. Unveiled in Bali, the new devices feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform and a new audio architecture developed in partnership with Bose.
POCO F8 Ultra
The POCO F8 Ultra comes with a dual-chipset architecture, pairing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a proprietary VisionBoost D8 display chipset. This combination supports AI Super Resolution up to 1.5K and frame-rate interpolation up to 120 FPS in compatible software.
Thermal management is handled by LiquidCool Technology, which uses a 3D dual-channel, dual-layer IceLoop system with a massive 6700mm² surface area. The device sports a 6.9-inch POCO HyperRGB panel featuring M10 luminescent material, a full RGB subpixel structure, and support for 1-nit ultra-low brightness. Power is provided by a 6500mAh (typ) battery supporting 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless charging.
The imaging system is anchored by a 50MP Light Fusion 950 main sensor (1/1.31″ size) equipped with OIS. This is complemented by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom and 10x in-sensor zoom, alongside a 50MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies, the device features a 32MP front sensor featuring a 0.8x intelligent wide-angle mode.
The device integrates a 2.1-channel speaker system developed with Bose, offering two distinct sound profiles: “Dynamic” (bass-focused) and “Balanced” (vocal-focused).

POCO F8 Pro
The POCO F8 Pro shares the core Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform but differentiates itself with a compact form factor and modified camera setup.
The device features a 6.59-inch “golden-ratio” screen and is powered by a 6210mAh (typ) battery with 100W wired HyperCharge support. Thermal performance is managed by a 3D triple-layer IceLoop system designed to optimise heat transfer from the SoC.
In terms of optics, this model introduces a dedicated telephoto lens to the Pro line, featuring a 50MP sensor with 2.5x optical zoom and 5x lossless zoom, while the main camera uses a Light Fusion 800 sensor.
