Lights, Camera, Friendship! Apple Camp Invites Kids to Direct at TRX
Just in time for the school break, Apple has announced the return of its popular Apple Camp program to Apple The Exchange TRX, offering a unique educational experience for young aspiring filmmakers.
Part of the “Today at Apple” creative sessions, the program invites children aged 6 to 10 and their families to step into the world of creative storytelling. This season’s theme, “Direct Your Own Friendship Film on iPad,” empowers participants to bring their imaginations to life using the latest technology.
Hands-On Filmmaking
During the 90-minute free sessions, attendees will step into the roles of directors and actors. Using iPads and the iMovie app, campers will learn the fundamentals of film production in a collaborative environment. Key activities include:
- Acting and Directing: Crafting scenes, acting in front of the camera, and directing the action from behind it.
- Recording: Capturing footage using iPad cameras.
- Editing: Assembling clips, adding transitions, special effects, title cards, and even green screen effects to finalise their own short films.
All necessary devices will be provided for the sessions.
Session Schedule
The interactive sessions are scheduled to run from 26 November through 26 January, 2026. Upcoming highlights for December 2025 include:
- Thursdays (4 and 11 Dec): 11:00 am MYT
- Saturdays (6 and 13 Dec): 3:00 pm MYT
- Sundays (7 and 14 Dec): 3:00 pm MYT
