Xiaomi’s Next Flagship Could Come With a Built-In Fan
Xiaomi is said to be developing a new flagship smartphone that could include a built-in cooling fan, a move that would put the company squarely in the emerging active-cooling trend in high-performance phones.

According to recent leaks, the yet-to-be-officially-announced device may feature an internal fan tucked into the camera island and be powered by a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The fan is expected to help manage heat during sustained heavy workloads, a common challenge for powerful mobile processors.
If this information is true, this would be Xiaomi’s first phone with active fan cooling, a feature already seen in some gaming-oriented handsets from other brands. Reports suggest the technology could be implemented without sacrificing dust and water resistance, with the phone tipped to support an IP68 rating despite having moving cooling parts.
This move mirrors a wider shift in the smartphone industry toward more aggressive thermal solutions. Built-in fans have appeared in devices from specialist gaming lines and have been rumoured for other upcoming phones as manufacturers seek to balance performance with reliability.
Beyond the fan and cooling system, little is known about the device’s full specs, name, pricing or release schedule. The leak points to a big screen with a high refresh rate and the potential for strong performance, but official details will likely wait until Xiaomi makes an announcement.
