Apple Creator Studio Debuts With New AI Tools for Video, Music, and Design
Apple has introduced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription that bundles its most powerful creative apps into a single offering aimed at creators across video, music, imaging, and productivity.
The new service brings together Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage, alongside new intelligent features and premium content for Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and, later, Freeform. Apple says the goal is to give creators studio-grade tools across Mac, iPad, and iPhone, while keeping workflows private and on-device where possible.

For video creators, Final Cut Pro on Mac and iPad gains new intelligent tools designed to speed up editing. Transcript Search allows users to locate soundbites by typing phrases, while Visual Search helps editors find specific objects or actions across footage. Beat Detection analyses music tracks and displays beats directly on the timeline, making it easier to sync edits to music. On iPad, a new Montage Maker uses AI to assemble highlight edits and reframe footage for vertical formats automatically.
Music creation also sees major upgrades. Logic Pro for Mac and iPad introduces Synth Player, an AI-powered session instrument that generates electronic performances, and Chord ID, which can analyse audio or MIDI recordings and turn them into usable chord progressions. Logic Pro subscribers also gain access to an expanded Sound Library, while iPad users now get Quick Swipe Comping for more efficient vocal recording.
Apple Creator Studio also marks the first time Pixelmator Pro arrives on iPad. The image editor has been rebuilt for touch and Apple Pencil, with full support for layers, advanced selection tools, and Apple silicon-powered features such as Super Resolution and Auto Crop. A new Warp tool is also included for subscribers on both Mac and iPad.
Beyond creative apps, the subscription enhances Apple’s productivity tools. Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform receive new premium templates, a Content Hub of curated assets, and intelligent features such as image generation, layout cleanup, formula creation, and early access to AI-assisted presentation drafting tools.
Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store starting 29 January, priced at RM29.90 per month or RM299 per year, with a one-month free trial. Students and educators can subscribe at a discounted rate of RM9.90 per month or RM99 per year. Users can still purchase individual Mac versions of the creative apps as one-time purchases if they prefer.
