Casio Releases Ring-Sized G-SHOCK, the DWN-5600
Casio announced the release of the DWN-5600, a new G-SHOCK model designed to be worn as a ring. The new product incorporates the brand’s standard shock-resistant structure and 200-meter water resistance in what the company states is the smallest form factor in the brand’s history.

The DWN-5600 measures 23.4 mm × 20 mm × 7.5 mm, making it approximately one-tenth the size of the full-sized DW-5600UE model. The design is based on the original 5600 series’ iconic square shape. According to the announcement, the miniaturisation was achieved by re-engineering components and using high-density mounting technology to fit them within the compact case.
In terms of materials, the bezel and band are constructed with injection-moulded resin. The side buttons, buckle, and case back are made of stainless steel, similar to the materials used in the brand’s wristwatches.

The watch features a 6-digit digital LCD that displays the time, a calendar, and a stopwatch function. It also includes an LED backlight and a dual time capability for showing two time zones at once. The resin band has holes for size adjustment to fit the user’s finger.
The DWN-5600 will be sold in specially designed packaging that includes a “G” logo-shaped display stand. The release date for the Malaysian market has not yet been announced. This release introduces a new, smaller form factor to the G-SHOCK lineup.
