New Google TV Streamer Features AI and Enhanced Features
Google has officially launched its latest streaming device, the Google TV Streamer, offering a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Chromecast with Google TV. The new device boasts a sleek design, powerful performance, and advanced AI capabilities.
Unlike its predecessor, the Google TV Streamer is designed to sit on a table, offering a more versatile placement option. A notable addition is the built-in LAN port. It provides a stable wired connection for users. This is ideal for those who prioritize internet speed and reliability. The device also seamlessly integrates with Google Home, Matter, and Threads, making it a central hub for smart home control.
Delivering a superior visual and audio experience, the new streaming device supports up to 4K 60p resolution with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos. The device is powered by a 22% more powerful processor. It has 4GB RAM, which is double the previous generation and the 32GB storage is quadruple the previous generation. This combination ensures smoother performance and faster app loading times.
The Streamer leverages the power of AI. It incorporates Google Gemini support. This provides intelligent content recommendations, summaries, and reviews. These features are available directly on the main menu. Additionally, the included remote control features a redesigned layout with dedicated audio adjustment buttons and shortcuts for popular streaming services like YouTube and Netflix. For added convenience, the “Find My Remote” function allows users to locate a lost remote control by triggering a sound from the Streamer.
The Google TV Streamer will be available in the United States starting in September for USD99.99 (RM447) in Hazel and Porcelain colour options. There is currently no official release date or pricing information for the Malaysian market.
