Google Pixel 9 Series Lands in Malaysia
After its initial tease earlier this month, Google has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Pixel 9, in Malaysia. Specifically, the series comprises three models: the standard Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and the larger Pixel 9 Pro XL. Moreover, all three devices boast a fresh design, featuring Google’s in-house Tensor G4 chipset and enhanced with Gemini Nano AI for improved performance and AI capabilities.
A standout feature of the Pixel 9 series is its camera system. To begin with, the standard Pixel 9 offers a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 48MP ultrawide lens. On the other hand, the Pixel 9 Pro adds a 48MP telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities. Furthermore, both models feature advanced computational photography features, promising impressive image quality.
In terms of display, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro share a 6.3-inch OLED panel, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL boasts a larger 6.8-inch screen. All three displays support high refresh rates for smooth visuals.
Battery life is another key area of focus, with the Pixel 9 packing a 4,700mAh battery and the Pixel 9 Pro XL offering a larger 5,060mAh cell. Fast charging is supported across the range.

The Pixel 9 series will soon be available for purchase in Malaysia through various retailers, including CelcomDigi, Maxis, Urban Republic, Senheng, Shopee, and Lazada. To begin with, pricing starts at RM3,999 for the Pixel 9. Furthermore, the Pixel 9 Pro is priced at RM5,199, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in at RM5,699.
