HONOR has assured its customers who bought its recent flagship device, the HONOR 20 will be receiving the update to Android Q later this year.
The commitment comes on the back of uncertainty surrounding the fate of Huawei and its sub-brand HONOR in the face of the all encompassing US government ban.
HONOR UK has said that despite the challenges facing its HONOR 20 series devices, which include the HONOR 20 Lite, HONOR 20 and HONOR 20 Pro, all the devices will continue to receive the relevant security patches and future Android updates. This applies to any customers who have already bought or are about to buy an HONOR smartphone.
All said, this statement should bring some relief to customers wondering if they have made the right choice in buying an HONOR device.
In other news HONOR announced that it will be bringing its latest version of MAGIC UI, 2.1 to the View 20. This new OS update is said to increase the device’s battery life while extending its gaming focused GPU Turbo 3.0 feature that HONOR claims to enhance up to 25 different mobile games.
