HUAWEI Malaysia today announced the launch of its latest wearable devices, the highly anticipated HUAWEI Watch 5 series and the new Watch Fit 4 series. This dual release highlights HUAWEI’s ongoing dedication to innovation in the smartwatch market, emphasising premium design, advanced health monitoring, and enhanced user convenience.
HUAWEI Watch 5: Premium Design and Advanced Health Insights
Drawing inspiration from the Kármán Line, the HUAWEI Watch 5 boasts a unified and premium design. Available in 46mm and 42mm sizes, the 42mm model is crafted from robust 904L stainless steel, while the 46mm variant features a lightweight aerospace-grade silver alloy. A range of strap options, including titanium, fluoroelastomer, and a new waterproof, odour-resistant composite material mimicking leather, allows for personalisation.
The Watch 5 introduces HUAWEI’s cutting-edge X-TAP multi-sensing technology, integrating ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors for superior health data accuracy. A novel fingertip-based reading system powers the Health Glance feature, providing a comprehensive 60-second overview of 10 vital health metrics, including heart rate variability (HRV), emotional state, and blood oxygen levels (SpO₂).
Beyond health, the Watch 5 incorporates intuitive gesture-based controls, such as Double Slide and Double Tap, for seamless management of calls, music, and smartphone camera functions. eSIM support enhances connectivity, enabling independent operation without a smartphone.
HUAWEI claims an impressive battery life for the Watch 5, thanks to its dual-mode system. The 46mm model offers up to 4.5 days in Standard Mode and 11 days in Battery Saver Mode, while the 42mm version provides 3 days in Standard Mode and up to 7 days in Battery Saver Mode.

HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Series: Lightweight Design for Active Lifestyles
Alongside the premium Watch 5, HUAWEI also introduced the Watch Fit 4 series, featuring the Watch Fit 4 and the Watch Fit 4 Pro. These lightweight wearables are tailored for fitness enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. The standard Watch Fit 4 weighs just 27 grams with a slim 9.5mm profile, while the Pro version, at 30.4 grams, incorporates premium materials like sapphire glass and a titanium alloy bezel.
The Watch Fit 4 Series supports over 100 workout modes, catering to diverse activities, including hiking, skiing, and new water sports with dedicated route tracking. A built-in barometer ensures accurate elevation tracking. HUAWEI’s new dual-frequency positioning system improves GPS accuracy by up to 30%, complemented by offline maps and route navigation. The Pro version further enhances outdoor capabilities with contour maps, checkpoint navigation, and a dedicated trail running mode, alongside specialized features for golf and freediving.
Health tracking is enhanced in the Watch Fit 4 Series with continuous heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring and emotional well-being features. The Pro version features an updated TruSense System and ECG functionality, providing more accurate real-time data on heart health, stress, and sleep patterns, summarized in personalized health reports.
For everyday convenience, the Watch Fit 4 Series offers features like WhatsApp message replies via a full keyboard, NFC access support, Bluetooth calling, and voice note-taking. Notably, it also supports TNG eWallet QR code payments, a first for smartwatches in Malaysia. The series boasts a battery life of up to 10 days on a single charge, with the Pro model offering fast charging.
