During a Huawei event in Shenzhen China, the company revealed that it intends to launch a new foldable device called the Mate Xs.
Yes, you read that right. As confusing as it may be, this is not the Mate X but rather an updated model.
Under the hood, the Mate Xs will be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 990 5G SoC so it is ready for the next generation of mobile networks out of the box.
But aside from that little is known about the Mate Xs, but it looks near identical to the original Mate X from the design of its foldable hinge to the size of the display and button placements.
We will just have to wait and see whether Huawei can keep its foldable dream alive with this new model and not repeat the mistakes of other manufacturers while chasing for that very dream.
