Nothing has been generating significant buzz with its upcoming Nothing Ear (open) earbuds. While the official launch is still a few days away, images and specifications of the earbuds have been leaked ahead of time, giving us a glimpse into what this innovative product has to offer.
Nothing Ear (open): A New Approach to Earbuds
The Ear (open) features a distinctive open-ear design, in addition to a curved headband for a secure fit. Furthermore, the partially transparent housing showcases the earbuds’ inner workings, thereby maintaining Nothing’s signature aesthetic.
Impressive Features and Performance
According to the leaked information, the earbuds offer a battery life of up to eight hours on a single charge, extending to 30 hours with the included charging case. For phone calls, users can expect up to six hours of usage, stretching to 24 hours with the case.
Audio quality is also a highlight, with 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers and Nothing’s proprietary “Bass Enhance” algorithm. However, due to the design, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is not available.
Durability and Connectivity
The earbuds are IP54-rated, making them resistant to splashes and suitable for active lifestyles. Bluetooth 5.3 ensures reliable connectivity, and Nothing’s new earbuds support dual device connections. Additionally, similar to previous Nothing audio products, they are expected to feature ChatGPT integration, allowing users to interact with the AI assistant directly through the earbuds.
