Nothing Homages Nokia’s Classic Snake Game in New Widget
Nothing has unveiled a unique tribute to mobile gaming history: a new community widget inspired by Nokia’s legendary Snake game. The widget, co-created with input from Nothing’s community members, brings a nostalgic gaming twist to Nothing’s sleek digital ecosystem.
For the uninitiated, Snake was a hallmark of early mobile gaming. It defined a generation, as players tirelessly maneuvered a pixelated serpent across their monochrome screens, vying for the highest score. Nothing’s latest addition reimagines this classic for the modern era, blending nostalgia with their signature style.

The Snake widget is part of the new Nothing Community Widgets app, which can be downloaded from the PlayStore. Developed in collaboration with designer Rahul Janardhanan and developer Thomas Legendre, the widget reflects Nothing’s commitment to fostering creativity within its community.
“Our ambition is to curate a selection of quality community-created widgets and bundle them together into an app hosted on the PlayStore,” the company shared in a recent community post. The widget is the first of what could be a series of playful, community-driven experiences designed to enhance Nothing’s user ecosystem.
Gameplay: Simple Yet Addictive
The gameplay sticks to its roots: players swipe the screen to move the snake and double-tap to pause. The objective is simple—consume red dots to grow the snake without running into yourself. As the snake gets longer, the challenge intensifies, promising the same nail-biting fun that made the original a cultural phenomenon.
What’s Next for Nothing’s Community Widgets?
This Snake widget sets the stage for Nothing’s broader vision of community-powered innovation. The Community Widgets app aims to become a hub for creative and engaging user-made content. Whether it’s games, productivity tools, or utilities, Nothing is inviting its community to shape the experience together.
