Nothing Phone (3) Returning as a Flagship
A leaked internal email shared by renowned tech leaker @evleaks confirms that the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) will mark a significant shift for the brand, positioning it as its first flagship smartphone.
The email, directly from Nothing CEO Carl Pei, outlines the company’s ambitious plans for the year ahead, highlighting the device as “a landmark smartphone launch” scheduled for the first quarter. This flagship device promises “breakthrough innovations in user interface.” Moreover, it will be the first Nothing phone to feature a suite of AI-powered capabilities.
Recognising the growing importance of camera quality, Pei confirmed that Nothing plans to expand its camera hardware and software development teams by an impressive 50%. As a result, this strategic increase highlights the company’s strong commitment to delivering a better camera experience. Furthermore, the expansion will primarily focus on optimising both software and hardware performance. Ultimately, Nothing aims to enhance camera quality not only for its current smartphones but also for future devices.
Rumours suggest that 2025 will be a busy year for Nothing, with the company expected to launch three smartphones. Alongside the flagship Phone (3), the lineup is likely to include the more affordable Phone (3a), powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, and a larger variant, the Phone (3a) Plus.
