Samsung Announces Two New Windows Laptops

Samsung has announced two new Windows laptops which are now running ARM based processors, the Galaxy Book Go and the Galaxy Book Go 5G. Both these new laptops are using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and not Samsungs in-house Exynos processors.

The Galaxy Book Go starts at $349 and is the entry level model that packs an updated Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor which was announced last month. It also comes with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of eUFS storage. The laptop has a 14-inch 1080p LCD panel and is just under 15mm thick.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Book Go 5G is packing the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor which does include 5G connectivity. This chip is not a powerhouse of a chip but does perform better than the 7c found on the Galaxy Book Go. The other specs of the laptop seem to be similar to the ones found on the Galaxy Book Go.

The laptops pack two USB-C ports, a single USB-A port, a headphone jack and a microSD card slot as well. They also have a 720p webcam installed. The regular Galaxy Book Go does not have an LTE option and is WiFi only however.

There is not much information on the Galaxy Book Go 5G but the regular Galaxy Book Go goes on sale in the US starting on June 10th.
