Samsung QLED TVs

It was truly a great experience and an absolute honour to be part of the exclusive launch of the the new QLED TVs from Samsung, which was officially launched in May earlier this year, along with the introduction of the brand benew Soundbar which is the first collaboration release of Samsung & Harman Kardon since Samsung’s acquired the Company.

The event started out with an overview and explanation of the QLED technology, stressing on the importance of having proper dynamic range of the blacks and whites to enhance the viewing experience in their latest release.

A side to side comparison was done with the previous QHD TVs which had a huge difference in details, colours and especially with the increased brightness (professionally known as nits).

Samsung QLED TVs are also known to experience no screen burn in and there was a comparison between QLED and OLED screen which was done where you can read it more over here (https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/real-life-oled-burn-in-test)

Then there were highlights of the TV having the “ambiance mode” where it uses a low power to make the TV blend in with your wall’s background when its turn off.. which was super cool!

It also uses only a single cable to connect all the necessary devices through its multimedia console box for ports such as HDMI, USB and Optical Digital Audio Cables which gives the best possible cable management, especially for them OCD people out there!

Next was the real time audio experience with the brand new Soundbar where it boasts a 7.1.4ch surround sound for the HW-N950 with upwards firing speakers both infront and the rear speakers which brings your gaming and movie listening to a whole new level! (it was really a cinema like experience)

However, the HW-N850 features a 5.1.2 channel surround sound with a main unit speaker and a woofer.

The HW-N950 soundbar is retailed at RM6,499 and the HW-N850 is retailed at RM4,999 and will be available from the 1st of September onwards.
