Spotify Family Plan Shrinks: Fewer Accounts for the Same Price

Spotify Family Plan Reduced from Six to Just Four Members

Spotify has recently made a change to its popular Family Plan, reducing the number of shared accounts from six to four. This means that starting this month, only four users can share a single Premium Family subscription within the same household.

While the monthly fee for the Family Plan remains at RM24.90, users who require additional accounts beyond the four-member limit can add up to two more for an extra RM7.90 per month each. This effectively increases the cost for a six-member family to RM40.70 per month.

Impact on Existing Users

For existing Spotify Premium Family Plan subscribers who signed up before the 19th of November, there’s no immediate change. Your plan will continue to offer six account slots. However, any new subscriptions or renewals after this date will be subject to the new four-account limit.

Why the Change?

Spotify hasn’t officially commented on the reasons behind this change. However, industry analysts speculate that it could be a strategy to combat account sharing and increase revenue. By limiting the number of shared accounts, Spotify may be aiming to encourage more individual subscriptions. Stay tuned to us at Adam Lobo TV for more news like this.
