vivo X300 Ultra to Feature Sony LYTIA-901 200MP Sensor with Improved Stabilisation

vivo has officially revealed new details about the camera hardware of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the vivo X300 Ultra, following its brief showcase at Mobile World Congress 2026.
While the company did not disclose many specifications during the initial preview, new information shared by vivo executives has confirmed the key hardware powering the device’s main camera.
200MP Sony LYTIA Sensor Confirmed
According to vivo product manager Han Boxiao, the X300 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary rear camera built around the Sony LYTIA-901 sensor.
The sensor measures 1/1.12 inches and uses a 35mm focal length, which vivo says is designed to deliver a more natural perspective for photography. The company also claims the new sensor is capable of capturing up to 30 per cent more light per pixel compared to previous implementations.
In practical terms, that improvement could lead to better image quality in low-light scenes and more detailed photos overall.
Improved Stabilisation and Lens Design
The upcoming flagship is also expected to offer improved stabilisation performance. According to vivo, the main camera meets the CIPA 6.5 stabilisation standard, an upgrade over the CIPA 5.0 certification achieved by its predecessor, the vivo X200 Ultra.
The lens structure has also been revised. The new setup uses a 1-glass and 6-plastic element configuration with a newly developed coating. vivo claims the updated optical design can reduce glare by up to 30 per cent compared to the previous generation.
Rumoured Camera Setup
While vivo has only confirmed the primary camera hardware so far, recent leaks suggest the vivo X300 Ultra could feature a more extensive camera system.
The rumoured setup includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera for long-range zoom, and a 5MP multispectral sensor intended to improve colour accuracy and scene analysis.
vivo has yet to confirm the full specifications or launch timeline for the device, but more details are expected to emerge as the company moves closer to the official announcement.
