Xiaomi’s Mi A3 Available in Malaysia on Aug 3 with Sub-RM1,000 Price Tag

Just a couple of weeks back we caught wind of local retailers offering the Xiaomi Mi A3 early before its release date. At that time the retailers were offering the Mi A3 at above RM1,000, well it looks like Xiaomi is smashing expectations by offering the Mi A3 at below the psychological RM1,000 price point to make it an appealing option for budget-conscious Xiaomi fans.

Just to recap the Mi A3 is Xiaomi’s latest phone under its Android One line up, making it an ideal daily driver for those who want a pure Android experience.

Boasting a triple camera array headlined by a 48-Megapixel camera, in-screen fingerprint sensor and massive battery, the Mi A3 is all you could ask for and more.

Now the 6.08-inch AMOLED screen is certainly an upgrade from its predecessor it has a lower HD+ resolution instead of the usual Full HD resolution that we are used to seeing.

Nevertheless, the Mi A3 has plenty of other features to like such as its Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 665 processor that is slated to be a power-efficient smartphone as it is paired to a sizeable 4,030mAh battery.

As mentioned before, it has a 48-Megapixel main camera that is supported by an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-Megapixel camera for depth sensing. The little teardrop notch in front will house a 32-Megapixel selfie camera.

Also, the headphone jack makes a return on the Mi A3 so you can still plug in your old trusty pair of headphones.

As for colours it will be available in three colours: Kind of Grey, Not Just Blue and More than White.

The Mi A3 will come in two variants with a 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, priced at RM899 and 999 respectively, slated to be available from 3 Aug onwards online via Lazada and Shopee as well as authorised Mi Stores.
