Redmi K90 Pro Max Tipped to Include Bose-Powered Subwoofer for 2.1 Sound
Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K90 Pro Max, scheduled for an official launch in China on 23 October, will incorporate a 2.1-channel sound system complete with a dedicated subwoofer engineered by audio company Bose.

The audio configuration, initially reported by the reliable online source Digital Chat Station, marks a novel approach to smartphone sound. The system supplements the standard stereo speakers with a third, rear-mounted speaker designed to function exclusively as a subwoofer. This dedicated driver, which will carry the Bose logo, is built to handle low-frequency output, aiming to produce deeper bass than is typically possible from mobile devices. This could enhance the user experience for gaming, streaming media, and music.

Promotional images of the K90 Pro Max had previously shown a distinct circular speaker near the camera module. It is now understood that this is the additional component for the 2.1 system, a feature that would differentiate the device in the competitive smartphone market.
Beyond its audio capabilities, the Redmi K90 Pro Max is also expected to be equipped with high-performance hardware. Industry reports suggest it will run on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and include a capable multi-lens rear camera setup.

At present, the 2.1 sound system has only been reported for the top-tier Redmi K90 Pro Max. It is not yet known if the standard K90 and K90 Pro models will also include the Bose-powered component. The potential inclusion is of particular interest for the Pro variant, which is widely expected to be released to the global market later under the “Poco F8 Ultra” brand.
Complete specifications and official confirmation of the feature’s availability across the new Redmi K90 series are expected at next week’s launch event.
