Samsung Galaxy A07 5G Launches in Malaysia With Bigger Battery and Core AI Features

Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G in Malaysia, following its recent debut in the Philippines. The new entry-level 5G smartphone expands Samsung’s Galaxy A series locally with a larger battery, smoother display, and integrated AI features.
The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G is powered by a 6nm octa-core processor and comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of High Brightness Mode. Samsung says the combination delivers smoother scrolling and better outdoor visibility for everyday use.
One of the key upgrades is its 6,000mAh battery, the largest in Samsung’s A-series lineup to date. Paired with improved power efficiency, the phone is designed to support extended streaming, gaming, and multitasking without frequent recharging.
On the camera side, the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G features a 50MP main camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor, while an 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Samsung highlights improved image processing for clearer photos across different lighting conditions.
The phone also introduces what Samsung calls a core AI experience at this price point. Users gain access to Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google, allowing quick searches, contextual assistance, and voice-based interactions directly from the device. One UI 8.0 is installed out of the box, with Samsung committing to six generations of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.
In terms of durability, the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G features an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and its back is made of glass fibre-reinforced polymer for enhanced scratch resistance. The device measures 8.2mm thick and weighs 199 grams.
In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G is available from 30 January 2026 in Light Green, Light Violet, and Light Black colour options.
