Dyson Updates Its Cordless Vacuum and Introduces New Products

Here’s some brand new cool home tech coming in to the Malaysian market. You probably already know a popular household name like Dyson. A British household appliance manufacturer with many beautifully designed machines. Today, Dyson and here they are with the announcement of the Dyson V11, Dyson Pure Cool Me and the Dyson Lightcycle.

First, let’s take a quick look at the Dyson V11. This is Dyson’s take on a cord-free vacuum. The difference here is that Dyson adds a significant amount of features to it’s repertoire. Dyson claims that the Dyson V11 is 20% more powerful than its predecessor the Dyson Cyclone V10. This is made possible thanks to the all new Dyson Digital Motor V11.

Dyson included 3, yes that’s right, 3 microprocessors in the Dyson V11. One in the Dynamic Load Sensor inside the High Torque cleaner head, one inside the Dyson digital motor V11; and the last one inside the battery.

This brings a whole new level of intelligence to the vacuum. One impressive feature that is enabled by all this processing is that the vacuum suction adjusts automatically depending on floor type, ie carpet and hard floors. Dyson calls this the Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) System. This allows for cleaner carpets and extended runtime on hard floors. The processor in the battery allows the owner to see how much runtime is remaining on the LCD screen built into th Dyson V11. The advanced filtering capabilities of the Dyson V11 captures 99.97% of small particles like pollen and bacteria ensuring a proper cleaning experience.

The Dyson V11 operates in 3 modes, an Auto Mode that adapts and cleans based on it’s intelligent sensing, a Boost Mode for those intense cleaning sessions and an Eco Mode that provides up to 60 minutes of run time for those longer sessions.

Next up is the Dyson Pure Cool Me. This is a personal air treatment machine or to put it simply, a personal air purifier/fan combo. Before we get on to the features of the device, I must say, this is a truly beautiful design and it would aesthetically fit in any room setup you might have. It is a cylindrically shaped appliance that uses Dyson Core Flow™ technology to precisely channel air and control the airflow. So you can rest assured that the fan would be “hitting you”. The Dyson Pure Cool Me also features 70 degree oscillation to help ensure this.

The Dyson Pure Cool Me also houses a HEPA (High efficiency particulate air) filtration system that is able to capture 99.95% of particles as small as allergens. It’s activated carbon filter absorbs and traps gases, odours and household fumes such as VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). This product too is equipped with some intelligent features such as Intelligent light sensing which automatically adjusts the LCD screen’s brightness and sleep timers. Dyson engineered the Pure Cool Me to be as quiet as possible by installing a layer of acoustic attenuation foam in the base of the machine absorbs excess noise from the motor.

Lastly, the Dyson Lightcycle is a task light with some additional smarts. It is specially engineered to continually adjust colour temperature and brightness to better accommodate our body clock in relation to the local daylight. This is similar to how your phone’s night mode where it “warms” the screen colour to help reduce eye strain. Dyson claims that using Heat Pipe technology, they managed to extend the lifetime of the light to 60 years under optimal use. Users can also personalise the light even further by using the Dyson Link App to allow for personalization based on your age, tasks and daily routines. There are also preset modes available so you can set the mood to exactly how you want it. There are 2 variants available, a shorter stand designed for tables and a longer  one designed to be placed on the floor.

You can get both the V11 and Pure Cool products and a couple of other Dyson products through their website shop.dyson.my, the Dyson Demo at The Gardens Mall and Gurney Plaza (which we recommend you check out), and major departmental and electrical stores. While the Dyson Lightcycle will be officially available sometime in 2019. The Dyson V11 is priced at RM3,399 and the Dyson Pure Cool Me is priced at RM1,699. Stay tuned to Adam Lobo TV for updates.
